SCHOOL TOURS
We look forward to welcoming new families to the School, and we want to ensure that new students and parents find the experience both exciting and reassuring. We recommend a tour of our school in action, to view our facilities and meet our staff. To arrange a date and time please contact the office.
Our School Zone
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. Your school zone is determined based on your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their local school. Students may enrol at another school if there are available places.
For more information about our school zone, please contact our school. For answers to frequently asked questions about school zones, visit School zones.
Foundation (Prep) enrolments
All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.
The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government primary school.
For more information about the enrolment timeline, visit: Enrolling in Foundation (Prep).
Our school uses the Department of Education’s secure digital enrolment system called VicStudents. This means you can submit your Foundation (Prep) application online and receive updates through the system. If you have any questions about the online enrolment process, please contact our school. Paper enrolment application forms are also available on request.
Other year level enrolments
We also accept enrolment applications for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time in the school year.
Eligible students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place, while students outside the zone may be enrolled if there are available places.
If you are seeking enrolment at other year levels, please contact our school for more information.
Under the Department of Education and Training’s Parent Payments Policy, Victorian government schools are required to provide transparent information to their school community on voluntary parent/carer contributions.
The documents outlining the voluntary parent/carer contributions at our school are available from school reception upon request.
Briagolong Primary School is committed to providing a child safe and child friendly environment, where students are safe and feel safe.
Our child safety and wellbeing policies outline the measures and strategies we have in place to support, promote and maintain the safety and wellbeing of our students and are available from school reception upon request.
As valuable partners in promoting and maintaining child safety and wellbeing we welcome and encourage your feedback on our Child Safety policies and practices.
If you have any suggestions, comments or questions in relation to our child safe policies and practices, please contact briagolong.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
